Rainier Beach High School teacher Michael Braun has been selected by Microsoft as one of 44 educators who will showcase the innovative ways he is using technology in the classroom to enhance student learning. The professional learning forum will be held on the Redmond Microsoft campus July 31 to August 1.

Seattle Public Schools: CONGRATULATIONS: Olympic View student's film screened at prestigious film festival

A film by Olympic View student Zhenna Watkin was screened at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth last month. She is the youngest filmmaker to have a film selected for the festival this year, from more than 700 submissions of youth filmmakers age 22 and under.

Seattle Public Schools: DISTRICT: School Board formally asks José Banda to serve as Superintendent

The Seattle School Board Wednesday night, May 2, officially offered Anaheim City Schools Superintendent José Banda the position of Superintendent of Seattle Public Schools.
